Aesop Frederiksberg

Studioilse consulted us early in the project when they first found the space on the iconic, French-tinged street in Copenhagen, and we quickly helped work out solutions to the downplayed luxury of their first Copenhagen shop. Our team built out the old walls, leaving a bold shadow gap in place of baseboards, which aside from being a lovely detail ensured breathability around the old structures. We worked with stonecutters for the stepping stones, drew up and coordinated fabrication of all the metalwork, including razor-thin steel shelving and the oversized brass wash basin, installed the constellation-style lighting system, and sourced and fitted an antique radiator along the window.
