We were tasked with recreating Marta Minujín’s 1965 seminal work, La Menesunda, one of the world’s first immersive art pieces. A colossal woman’s head, a icy refrigerator, a spinning cage, gigantic sagging entrails and a confetti storm in a mirrored chamber; these are but some of the rooms in the labyrinthine exhibition produced in collaboration with Tate Foundation, Museo Moderno of Buenos Aires, and AOC Architects, and an orchestration of set dressers, carpenters, cabinetmakers, steelworkers, AV programmers, engineers, glaziers, and painters. The result was an utter bombardment of the senses, and our kookiest project to date. We designed and built the exhibition to be modular and is set to tour four major European cities, which we will also lead.
