Barlby Carlsson has been the main contractor of the project and ensured that the architect's ideas were realized. All the interior is hand built and specially manufactured at our workshop and, among other things, we have used the traditional Japanese wood singeing technique, which burns the sugar substances out of the wood, so that microorganisms cannot thrive and at the same time the surface becomes beautifully black. A technique that was also used by the Vikings in their wooden house constructions. We used the technique on pine wood for the interior solutions at the Slurp Ramen Joint. Slurp Ramen Joint serves very ambitious ramen. A genuine Japanese noodle machine is incorporated in a well-designed and hand-crafted kitchen, allowing Slurp Ramen to produce their own noodles.
